Administrative Professional Day is Wednesday, April 22, 2015
In case you’ve missed the signs on restaurants and in flower shops around the city, Administrative Professional Day is Wednesday, April 22, 2015. This is an unofficial holiday to recognize the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals. In the U.S. we celebrate the entire week, Administrative Professionals’ Week, in the last full week of April (which starts today); the “day” is always that Wednesday.
Do something nice for the support staff that keeps your office going. It doesn’t have to be flowers, but that would be my first choice. Bring in donuts or other baked goods (cupcakes are a good choice). A box of chocolates, some fancy coffee, or something yummy and “splurgy.” If all of that seems like too much … bring a card with a simple “thank you” message. Trust me, it is the thought that counts.
