Get ready for a night of cumbia, Tejano and Latin music in the heart of downtown Houston! Avenida Houston is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a free outdoor event featuring Houston DJ El Turko Sonidero and a live tribute to the music and legacy of Selena.

The night starts with Houston-based DJ El Turko Sonidero, known for mixing cumbia, darkwave, goth, rock en español and Tejano.

Then Tejano Queen Forever Band takes the stage. The Dallas-based touring band celebrates the music and legacy of Selena Quintanilla Perez, the Queen of Tejano music.

The outdoor celebration is part of Houston First Corporation’s Hispanic Heritage Month programming and brings Latin and Mexican regional music to downtown Houston. Garage parking is available at the Avenida North parking garage near the George R. Brown Convention Center.
