The folklórico performance is only part of the fun. The evening begins at 5:30 PM with Tío Tóto, who brings families an interactive bilingual show filled with music, storytelling and Latin American rhythms.

Families can also make their own Ojo de Dios, create colorful paper fans and papel picado-inspired flags, and make mini piñatas. These hands-on activities give kids another way to explore Mexican and Hispanic traditions while they play.

This Free Family Night also launches a series of Hispanic Heritage celebrations at the museum, with special activities and performances continuing through October 8.
