
Pat Mora wins May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture Award
I missed this announcement last month: Texas author Pat Mora won the The May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture Award. Mora is a children’s book writer who may be best-known for bringing El día de los niños, el día de los libros to the US. Her books include:

About the award: “The lecturer, announced annually at the ALA Midwinter Meeting, may be an author, illustrator, editor, critic, librarian, historian or teacher of children’s literature, of any country, who shall prepare a paper considered to be a significant contribution to the field of children’s literature. ”
