General, People & Profiles

Part of our Women’s History Month series.

Did you know that Houston has a printed publication whose goal is “informing, inspiring and connecting successful women”? Houston Woman Magazine is a bi-monthly print and online publication that spotlights women who are making a difference in the greater Houston community.

The magazine was created and run by Beverly Denver, a professional journalist with more than 30 years of experience in the print media. According to their website:

In the mid 1980s, the entrepreneurial bug bit, and Denver launched a community newspaper in the North Harris and South Montgomery County areas. While still owning and operating the North Houston Journal, Denver started a similar publication in West University Place, an affluent area near downtown Houston. In March 2004, Denver launched Houston Woman Magazine to inform, inspire and connect successful women.

For those of you interested in further networking opportunities, Houston Woman Magazine hosts a monthly book club that features business books.
