Welcome back, “Scandal”
The winter break of “Scandal” is over and new episodes start tonight! This show is one of my guilty pleasures, the television equivalent of eating an entire chocolate bar — not nutritious (for your mind) but so much fun to consume.
My favorite storyline is the one with Huck, played by Guillermo Díaz, and protege Quinn, played by Katie Lowes. Huck was one of the biggest mysteries of the show, with his psychotic tendencies and unknown background. As we learned more about how Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington‘s character) saved him, we begin to understand the depth of his loyalty to her. His relationship with Quinn was unlikely, and her “betrayal” unexpected and (to him) unforgivable. I can’t wait to see how the whole thing turns out.
The preview of this week’s episode makes no mention of any of this. Huck and Quinn are a very small plot-line at this point.
“Scandal” airs Thursdays at 10/9pm CST.
