Video Pick: Jennifer López tribute to Celia Cruz (Live at American Music Awards 2013)
In the recent American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez paid tribute to Celia Cruz. If, like me, you missed it, you can catch the entire performance via this Youtube video.
Born in Cuba in 1925, Cruz was one of the best-known and most popular salsa singers. According to Wikipedia, Cruz earned 23 gold albums in her career. Among her many accomplishments includes a cameo in the highly-acclaimed movie Mambo Kings. She passed away in 2003.
