Video Pick: How to Make Alfajores

Food & Drink, General, In the News

In Latin America Alfajores (singular is “alfajor”) are a cookie made up of two round cookies with different sweet fillings between them. Think of them as “cookie sandwiches.” My favorite have some sort of cajeta (caramel) in the middle and are covered in powdered sugar. In Houston you can get them at several bakeries, but my favorites can be found at Americas restaurant.

Today’s video pick is “How to Make Alfajores” from the Muy Bueno YouTube channel. The video shows how to make alfajores with cornstarch and dulce de leche. Sounds (and looks) yummy.
