Time Magazine’s most influential teens of 2015: Zendaya, Bethany Mota, Lele Pons

Arts & Entertainment, General, In the News

Somehow I missed it when Time Magazine named “The 30 Most Influential Teens of 2015” late last year. The list includes a lot of the expected names, including at least one President’s daughter. But I was very pleased to see that three Latinas were actually included, and that I even agreed with (most of) the selections: Zendaya, Bethany Mota, and Lele Pons.

Actress (and singer) Zendaya may be best-known for being a former Disney child, but this year it’s her style that’s generated the headlines. Mattel even created a one-of-a-kind Barbie modeled after her look on the red carpets (deadlocks and all). You can follow her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

YouTuber Bethany Mota was one of three social media celebrities invited to interview President Barack Obama early last year. She’s been on YouTube since 2009 and currently has nearly 10 million subscribers to her channel. She’s adorable and has made it into commercials, TV shows and other media. You can follow her on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Lele Pons is a Vine star … quite literally. She has more than 10 million people following her on Vine. If you haven’t already checked out her very funny Vines, you need to add them to your “must watch” list. There’s a reason why she’s the undisputed top Vinester around. You can follow her on Vine, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Who else would you have included?
