The Inspiring Journey of a First-Generation Latina

I recently stumbled upon a gem of a YouTube video that I couldn’t wait to share. It’s a heartfelt TEDxHoustonWomen talk by Michelle Avalos titled “The Role of The First.” In it, she takes us on a journey from her corporate job to her incredible community work.

When I decided to take a leap and start a small business, it left them baffled. After all, they had worked tirelessly to put me through college. But their support eventually came through, and my venture became a success.
