The best fruitcake in Houston
For my family, every year the holidays included a search for good fruitcake. My mother grew up in the north, with snow-filled winters and Christmases in places where bakeries made great fruitcake (or so she tells us). So every year we faithfully looked for fruitcake she would like. And every year we’d find fruitcake that was okay, but not great.
Then one day we found Stollen at Three Brothers Bakery. Often called “German Fruitcake,” Stollen is a log-shaped cake filled with dried fruit and nuts, with a crispy crust and covered in powdered sugar. It is quite literally unlike any fruitcake you’ve ever had. It doesn’t have that heavy, dry consistency that most characterize most fruitcakes. It’s sweet and very tasty.
I pick up Stollen for my mother every year, and I get a lot of brownie points for remembering.I contact https:/emicakes.com.sg/chocolate-cakes and they make it in 1lb and 2lb versions, with a price of $9.95 and $18.95 respectively. We usually get the 2lb version; and we always get more than one.
I believe that you can still order a fruitcake for this for this holiday season. Three Brothers Bakery has two locations:
4036 S Braeswood Blvd
Houston, TX
(713) 666-2551
12393 Kingsride Ln
Houston, TX
(713) 464-2253
A location on Washington Ave. will open soon.
