The work that is done by the Tejano Center for Community Concerns is critical to the many residents of its service area, and of great value to the entire East End community and the City of Houston. Most everyone who is familiar with our activities and who knows the many lives that we touch would agree with that statement. Regrettably, the services we perform take a lot of money to put in place, much more than what current grants and contracts provide.

Tejano Center’s Gala offers an opportunity, not just to provide a contribution to an IRS 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, educational and charitable organization, but also to have fun with friends and family. As a friend and supporter of Tejano Center for Community Concerns, we cordially invite you to become a sponsor of or a contributor to, our upcoming Tejano Center Gala, scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2015, at The Houstonian Hotel. This year’s gala theme is Disco Nights and will include an elegant dinner, an awards ceremony, and a silent auction. That evening, we also plan to recognize and thank our generous donors.

For those of you who may not know about the Tejano Center and the Raul Yzaguirre School for Success, we were founded in 1992 with a mission to develop education, social, health, and community institutions that empower families to transform their lives. Our organization includes an Affordable Housing Program, a Children’s Shelter and Foster Care Program, a Juvenile Justice Diversion Program, an Adult Education Program, a Teen Health Clinic, and our flagship Raul Yzaguirre School for Success, with campuses in Houston and Brownsville. Annually, Tejano Center positively impacts the lives of over 5,000 families.

Your support will help strengthen our community by allowing us to continue providing comprehensive community development and educational initiatives throughout the Greater East End.
