Share your Día De Las Madres celebrations with #HispanicHou!
Have you booked a Mariachi yet for Mother’s Day?
Many a Hispanic Houstonians are in full swing right now trying to find the perfect Mariachi for their Mother’s Day celebrations. As we know, for many Latinos Mother’s Day is actually celebrated on May 10th for el Día De Las Madres con una gran celebración.
My grandmother’s children, for instance, make the journey down to Houston every year from all across the country just to spend the occasion with her. On Mother’s Day we enjoy the company of family, chatting, making small talk, all to stay wide awake for the arrival of the Mariachis at midnight… or sometimes even later. Usually this happens closer to 1 or 2 in the morning.
I get the best pictures of my family during these touching moments too. We’re all dancing, eating great food, and of course singing along with the Mariachi!
This year I thought it might be fun for all of us to share our Mother’s Day celebrations by tagging our pictures across social media with the hashtag #HispanicHou.
I hope you’ll share your special moments with us.
