Remembering Selena
Today is the anniversary of the death of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (April 16, 1971 – March 31, 1995). For many of us, Selena was and continues to be the biggest star in Tejano music. Her impact was felt in fashion and music – crossing into mainstream awareness much more after her death.
There’s not much we can say about her talent and importance that hasn’t already been written or shared by others in the years since her death. However, we didn’t want to let the day pass without marking it somehow.
