Nominate the best in Houston arts for the Sixth Annual MasterMind Awards
Do you know an exceptional member of the Houston arts community? Nominate them for the annual MasterMind Awards.
The Houston Press has opened nominations for the Sixth Annual MasterMind Awards competition honoring the best in Houston arts. They are “looking for artists of all types who are changing our creative and cultural landscape in the Houston area.” Last year’s winners were Opera in the Heights, Karen Stokes Dance, and Stark Naked Theatre.
Deadline for nominations: 5 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2013. To nominate someone, e-mail masterminds@houstonpress.com or send your nominations to:

Three winners will be chosen. Each will receive a prize of $2,000 along with a plaque at a ceremony that is part of the Houston Press’s annual Artopia Party. The celebration will be held at Winter Street Studios on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Tickets to the Artopia Party already have gone on sale.
