
Latina Entrepreneurship Academy open for applications thru 2/15/22
Are you a Latina business owner? Are you a Latina who wants to start her own business? If so, then this is for you! The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) Center for Latino Studies has partnered with LULAC Council #60 to host a FREE 6-week Latina Entrepreneurship Academy and applications are open now.
At the Academy, you will learn how to create your very own business plan from some of Houston’s most successful Latina business owners, university faculty, and professionals. They will cover topics including self-discovery and personal development; key legal issues in business development; sales, branding, and marketing; basic finance and accounting for business owners, and much more.
The Academy meets every Friday between February 18, 2022, and March 25, 2022, from 10 am to 2 pm at UHD. It is provided thanks to a grant from LULAC and the Coca-Cola Foundation.
