I made a note to congratulate La Santa Cecilia on their win at the Grammys… then forgot to post it! They won Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album.

The name of the band, La Santa Cecilia, is based upon the patron saint of musicians, Saint Cecilia. The band includes Gloria Estrada (Guitarist), Jose Carlos (Accordinist and Requinto), Alex Bendana (Bassist), Miguel Ramirez (Percussionist), Hugo Varagas (Drummer), and Marisoul (Lead Singer).
Other winners included:
- Best Latin Jazz Album — Song For Maura; Paquito D’Rivera And Trio Corrente
- Best Latin Pop Album — Vida; Draco Rosa
- Best Regional Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano) — A Mi Manera; Mariachi Divas De Cindy Shea
- Best Tropical Latin Album — Pacific Mambo Orchestra; Pacific Mambo Orchestra
