
Houston Public Library receives book donation from Mexican government
The Houston Public Library recently received a large donation of books in Spanish from the Consulate General of Mexico. The donation is more than a thousand books, and it includes 28 collections and each collection includes 45 Textbooks (from 1st to 6th grades: Math, Spanish, Sciences, Civics, etc.) and Literature Books.
The donation was made by the Mexican government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Public Education. The goal of the donation is to support bilingual education and school activities focused on students of Mexican descent and of Hispanic heritage in the United States.
