Houston is No. 15 in top cities for getting around without a car?
The Houston Business Journal reports that this study ranked Houston as number 15 (out of 70) in the top cities for getting around without a car. I find that very surprising. I’ve always thought of Houston as a city where if you don’t have a car, you’re pretty much stuck. The recent addition of light rail, and its expansion, are helping to provide options, but they aren’t vast at the moment.
Apparently, services like Uber and Zipar are among those that helped Houston rank high. The city has 8 of the 11 services reviewed for the rankings.
Can you guess who got first place? Austin, with a perfect 11 out of 11. It even beat out San Francisco.
