Houston among best cities for U.S. Latinos in Homeownership, Entrepreneurship & Median Income
To those of us who live in Houston, the fact that Houston made the list of top five best cities for Latinos in homeownership, entrepreneurship, as measured by the self-employment rate, and median household income isn’t actually news. Just look around and you’ll see examples of this all around the city.
However, it’s always nice to see in print our good economy validated, so the recent Forbes article was a welcome read. Houston made #4 on the list.
What did surprise me was the list of cities that beat us:
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Riverside-San Bernardino, California
- Baltimore, Maryland
- Houston, Texas
The cities everyone might expect to be on the list (New York, Los Angeles, and Miami) didn’t break the top ten.
