As part of The Year of the Woman*, the event features 4 guest women headliners, a Houston first, which are: Michelle Brava (Puerto Rico), Yamilka (Dominican Republic), Yoko ‘La Japonesa Salsera’ (Japan), and Isis ‘The Voice’ (Puerto Rico). It also includes a special tribute to the First Lady and Queen of Salsa: Celia Cruz! In addition, the citywide CD release concerts of Jorge Orta ‘Cro Cro’ y su Tumbaká (Venezuela, former member of Grupo Niche), whose production was included among the 20 Best of 2014 by Descarga.com, online’s most respected Latin Music magazine; and Angelucho y su Copacabana (Cuba), one of 2013’s top regional Latin music recordings.
