Farewell, Taco Milagro

Food & Drink, General, In the News

29-95’s Greg Morago reports that Taco Milagro, the River Oaks taco house, is closing on Sunday, May 26, 2013. For those of you who are fans of their food, or just always wanted to try the restaurant, this weekend is your last chance.

In Houston, restaurants rise and fall every day, but Taco Milagro had been a River Oaks mainstay for 15 years. Owned by the Cafe Express company (A.K.A. Schiller Del Grande), the restaurant always had the same atmosphere as the better-known chain. As a taco place, it fit River Oaks well. Or at last it used to, before the changes in that particular neighborhood. Read the 29-95 piece for more info on why they are closing.

I am going to be honest and admit that it’s been years since I’ve been to eat there, so I guess it shouldn’t come as a complete surprise that it’s closing. All I really remember is that they had good wedding cookies.

Farewell, Taco Milagro. Let’s see what is unveiled in your location.
