Fall TV: Paulina Rubio on “The X Factor”
Not only did I completely miss mentioning that singer and wild child Paulina Rubio was chosen to be a judge on “The X Factor,” I also missed watching the premiere (which was last night). Rubio joins Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland.
I am old enough that I can say that I grew up listening to Timbiriche, which is the kids musical group where Rubio made her debut. And I’ve also read quite a bit about her when “La Chica Dorada” (as she is nicknamed, for her blond tresses) went through her “wild” phase (though I’m not sure if that’s over or not).
Personal note: I am a huge fan of her mother, Susana Dosamantes, a Mexican actress with many films and telenovelas to her credit.
“The X-Factor” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 7 pm (CST) on FOX, so we all have another chance to catch Rubio tonight.
