Paris Jomadiao’s recent work is an exploration of form and the different ways it can be interpreted, abstracted, and re-worked. In Sediment, Jomadiao extracts visual cues found in naturally occurring textures, patterns, and configurations to create cut-paper illustrations and installations that build upon the idea of layering as an expression of flux.
Paris Jomadiao is a mixed-media and installation artist based in Houston, TX. She received her BFA from the University of Houston and has held artist residencies at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and Aerosol Warfare. Her work has been exhibited in various venues throughout the city such as Fresh Arts, Houston Arts Alliance, and Aurora Picture Show.
