Don’t forget to Spring Forward tonight!
Tonight we lose an hour… and we “get it back” later in the year. Yes, it’s time to change our clocks for Daylight Savings Time. If you happen to be up at 2 a.m. tonight, then you can reset your clocks to 3 a.m., or watch in fascination as all your automated devices adjust themselves. If you’re like me, sometime tomorrow you’ll be trying to figure out why your clocks don’t match up with your cell phone or the cable listings.
The most important part, for me, is that on Monday morning when my alarm goes off, my body will be under the impression I still have an hour of sleep left and refuse to actually get out of bed. It takes me at least a week or two before I adjust.
A safety reminder: the Houston Fire Department suggests that you use this event as the semi-yearly check on your home’s fire alarms.
