Devious Maids Season 2 begins this week
Lifetime’s hit show “Devious Maids” premieres its second season this weekend. The Season Premiere is Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 10/9 CST.
In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, “Devious Maids” is produced by Eva Longoria and was a not-so-surprising hit last year amidst controversy and media. The fact that the first show where the main characters are all Latinas portrayed most of them as maids was highly-criticized. And the over-the-top soap opera themes (think “Deperate Housewives” meets “Revenge”) didn’t help the reviews — especially with deportations, sex scandals, murders, and plain old jealousy, greed, and adultery.
But it’s just so much fun to watch!
The cast includes Ana Ortiz (from “Ugly Betty”), Dania Ramirez (from “Entourage”), Roselyn Sanchez (from “Without a Trace”), Edy Ganem (from “Livin’ Out Loud”) and Judy Reyes (from “Scrubs”). For me the surprise was soap queen Susan Lucci playing a supporting and recurring role.
If you haven’t already become a fan, it’s not too late to start now… trust me, it’ll become your guilty pleasure.
