
Council Member Gonzalez talks STEM
Houston Mayor Pro-Tem Ed Gonzalez today participated in a panel to discuss the important of STEM education for the future of the city. STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The panel was sponsored by Microsoft YouthSpark, a corporate citizenship project.
Microsoft YouthSpark is a companywide initiative designed to create opportunities for hundreds of millions of youth around the world.
Gonzalez discussed the programs and projects the City of Houston is already doing, and planning, to help our youth become better prepared for the opportunities available.
