Congratulations to HISD’s National Hispanic Recognition Program finalists
We want to congratulate the 64 Houston Independent School District students who were recently recognized for their academic excellence as part of the College Board’s 32nd annual National Hispanic Recognition Program. They were among the approximately 5,000 students recognized nationwide.
The National Hispanic Recognition Program honors Hispanic students who are top scorers on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) and earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by the middle of their junior year of high school. About 250,000 Hispanic/Latin juniors take the PSAT every year, according to the College Board.
