Houston welcomes the Colombian Youth Philharmonic as they join their Principal Guest Conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada, world-renowned soloists, the musicians of the Houston Symphony, the Houston Symphony Chorus, the Houston Children’s Chorus and select Houston-area high school and collegiate choral students for a spectacular side-by-side performance of Carl Orff’s epic Carmina Burana featuring 325 musicians on an extended Jones Hall stage. The festive songs of Carmina Burana celebrate love, feasting and merriment with wild abandon, all the while acknowledging the ever-turning wheel of fortune.
