Big Rio Grande Burger from 59 Diner
59 Diner is one of those places that almost everyone I know will say that they’ve been to at least once. We all have a favorite dish, or dessert. It’s a good standby for a casual dinner out. And, if you do go, you have to try the milk shakes. The shakes alone are worth the visit.
I usually get either breakfast or a patty melt. My last visit, however, I decided to try something new. So I indulged in the Big Rio Grande Burger — a burger on grilled jalapeno cheese bread, smothered with chili, grilled jalapenos, onion and cheddar. Incredibly messy… so incredibly messy, but so good.
I am absolutely going to have this again.
This post is the first a a burger round-up I’ve been planning for a few weeks. Keep track of the mini-reviews of Houston’s burgers through the Burgers tag.
