Audio Pick: SimpleCity.info puts Houston data into map format
Today’s audio pick is an interview on Houston Public Media’s Houston Matters radio show: “Website Puts Houston City Data in Map Form.” They spotlight the new website SimplyCity.info (which the creator pronounces “simplicity”). The site aggregates information about schools, childcare & adult care, dining, crime and realtors — showing it in map format, so you can drill down into information based on where you live.
What makes the info better than a Yelp or Google maps search is that you get information on restaurant violations recorded, facility types for the adult and children’s care locations, the ratings for public schools, etc. It adds an extra layer of info added onto simple mapping. Very useful.
