Amazon’s Prime Now brings 1-hour delivery to Houston
Amazon ‘s Prime Now is now available in Houston, providing Houstonians with one- and two-hour delivery for thousands of items available from Amazon and local retailers. Very convenient. And, did I mention that the two-hour delivery is free? One-hour delivery is $7.99.
Prime Now is available for Amazon Prime Members, which comes with a $99 a year subscription fee. Once you have a subscription to Prime, you’ll need to download the app, available at Amazon. Then you just get started ordering.
What can you order? I haven’t tried it, but in other cities are able to order groceries, toys, home essentials and even prepared foods. And, unfortunately, my Houston suburb isn’t in the initial roll out. I won’t be able to use the service anytime soon … and I don’t have a subscription to Amazon Prime any more.
For the rest of you, please let me know if you try out the service. I’d love to hear local reviews.
