A perfect Houston winter’s day at the Historic Market Square Park (photos)
Before the days go from 50 degrees to 110 (which will happen before you know it), I took the opportunity from the break in winter weather (with the freezing rain) and visited Houston’s Historic Market Square Park. Located in “old” downtown, the park provides much-needed green space in the middle of the concrete sea that makes up downtown Houston. It offers a dog park, restaurant space in the park and in the neighborhood surrounding it, and just enough bench space for a winter day. And it’s very pretty.
Take a few minutes to stop by when you get a chance (and definitely before the hot weather hits). Market Square Park is located at 301 Milam, Houston, Texas 77002 and is open 6 am to 11 pm daily.
