2016 HWIL Scholarship, Deadline February 5, 2016

Houston-based Hispanic Women in Leadership (HWIL) is taking applications for their 2016 HWIL Scholarship. Applicants must be Harris County residents. The scholarship is $1,000. Applications must be postmarked by February 5, 2016.

HWIL will award scholarships based on the criteria of an essay, academic standing, college/university/vocational/technical school enrollment, demonstration of leadership, letters of recommendation and verifiable residence.

About HWIL
Hispanic Women in Leadership (HWIL) is a Houston based, 501 (c) 3 volunteer organization which encourages and promotes the development and advancement of all women in general and Hispanic women in particular. It is a service organization committed to promoting the advancement of Hispanics and women in the area s of education, professional interaction, leadership training, mentorship and the perpetuation of the Hispanic culture. In addition, the organization shall strive to  provide a forum for addressing issues affecting the Hispanic community.
