16th Annual Wells Fargo Student Visual Art Contest
The Society for the Performing Arts (SPA) is accepting entries for its 16th Annual Wells Fargo Student Visual Art Contest. The theme of the contest is The Power of Positive. Through the creation and display of artwork centered on positive thinking, right action and collective impact, this year’s contest aims to have students investigate their role in the world, envision solutions to personal issues and local problems and connect to the larger community.
Houston-area students in grades kindergarten through 12th are invited to enter. This year’s theme is, Power of Positive. The deadline for entries is Monday, March 17, 2014. The art contest is presented by SPA in conjunction with Cloud Gate’s performance of Songs of the Wanderers on April 5, 2014 at Jones Hall.
