Landry’s on the Seawall is a great choice for dinner while in Galveston. I recommend you make reservations, especially if you’re trying to get a table on a weekend or a holiday. I lucked out recently and was seated in 20 minutes, though I’d been cautioned of a 45-minute wait.
The restaurant offers a covered outdoor lounge, which I couldn’t enjoy in 40-degree weather. But I did take advantage of the bar, and the menu. I’ve never been disappointed with their food. Landry’s is located at 5310 Seawall Blvd., Galveston, TX 77551, (409) 744-1010.

Chilean Sea Bass.

The “not fried” seafood platter.

The house special, fried seafood platter.

Oysters Rockefeller, a new favorite.
